I’m Katelyn, or Cakelyn…semi-graduate of the University of Maryland in Arabic Studies and Government and Politics.  Until the Egyptian revolution, I was planning to live in Alexandria, Egypt for a year as a sore thumb linguistically, religiously, culturally, and visually, studying Arabic and finding my place in North African-Mediterranean-Arab-Egyptian society.  I have since been relocated to Ifrane, Morocco to continue in these goals.

Agnabiyya, or أجنبية is ‘foreigner’ in Arabic.
